After Decades of Heartbreak, Yoruba Actress Toyosi Adesanya Finally Becomes a Mother as Baby Girl Arrives Via Surrogacy

Published

on

Veteran Yoruba actress Toyosi Adesanya has become a mother for the first time with her husband Bola Oyinadejobi, with the couple welcoming a baby girl today, Saturday March 21, 2026 — through the gift of surrogacy and after a fertility journey that began as far back as 2007.

The announcement was made on Instagram by fellow actress and close friend Biola Adebayo, who confirmed that the couple welcomed their baby girl through a surrogate, expressing gratitude to everyone who had been part of the journey since 2024 — including their fertility doctor, Dr. Ivie of The Fertility Doctor clinic.

The outpouring of emotion in the announcement was unmistakable. Biola declared herself a godmother once again and described her heart as full of gratitude, saying that Aunty Toyosi is officially a mother today. The announcement has since been met with a wave of congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers across the entertainment industry.

The arrival of this child is more than an ordinary birth announcement — it is the closing chapter of one of Nollywood’s most quietly endured fertility battles. Toyosi had previously opened up in detail about a struggle stretching back nearly two decades — beginning with the loss of her first pregnancy in 2007 shortly after her wedding, followed by a second loss in 2008, two failed IVF attempts in 2009 and 2011 that she funded partly by selling her personal valuables, a threatened abortion in 2019, and yet another loss in 2022.

Through every wave of disappointment, Toyosi stayed in the public eye, continued working, and eventually found a new path to motherhood with her husband Bola Oyinadejobi. Today that path reached its destination — and a baby girl, whose name is yet to be publicly announced, has arrived to complete a story that her mother refused to let end any other way.

Madam Saje Knew About Some Women I Dated but Never Told My Wife – Yinka Quadri

Published

on

Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has spoken about his decades-long friendship with fellow actress Saje, which dates back to their early days in the movie industry.

According to Quadri, Saje was already close to his wife before the couple married, and she has kept that bond over the years without engaging in gossip. He said she knew about some of his relationships with other women but never passed the information on to his wife, describing her as someone who can be trusted.

The Agba Aki  of Oro Kingdom also recalled a time he considered helping Saje’s husband, Rafiu Balogun, during a difficult period in their marriage. He told Saje that Rafiu wanted to accompany him to a movie location, expecting her to object because of their misunderstanding. Instead, she welcomed the idea. Quadri said he felt obliged to inform her because of her friendship with his wife.
The actor also spoke on pay in the movie industry, insisting he would not expect to earn more than younger colleagues simply because of his experience.

Citing Funke Akindele and Lateef Adedimeji as examples, he said, “If I’m being called to a job, and Funke Akindele and Lateef Adedimeji are going to be paid the same amount, I’m an enemy of God if I’m expecting that they should pay me more than him.”

The veteran actor added that actors negotiate their fees differently. Some accept whatever they are offered, while others insist on the amount they want. He concluded that such differences are simply part of life.

Fatherhood Changed His Approach to Stunts
